I blinked twice in shock. How could she say something like that? My eyes went to Alpha Gunnolf even though I was so embarrassed to look at him in the eye, but he didn’t even pay attention to me, or even acknowledge my presence.

“He is too shy to stare at your breasts, come and have your sit, dear,” Lina Royale said easily.

The maid in-charge of setting the breakfast table looked at me in shock. I was aware that the way Lina Royale had said it meant so many things. I mean, that was the lie I was telling myself so I wouldn’t feel shame or anything like that. I wanted nothing more but for her to stop the couple jokes so I wouldn’t have to be bullied when I got home from my pack duties.

With a deep breath, I walked over to my seat, opposite Alpha Gunnolf. He didn’t blink twice when he saw me sit. He was completely indifferent like I don’t exist. Unlike yesterday, he was so detached. And, that made me a bit anxious. Why couldn’t Lina Gunnolf see that her son didn’t like me at all.
