124: Torturous Death

POV

I was burning with rage, a much worse rage than what I’d felt when I learned that Kai and Levi had swooped in to save Cora. That was the closest I’d come killing her and they’d fucking ruined it, not knowing that we’d all be better off without her, that her life meant nothing and we deserved to go on living without her irritating presence in the palace.

“Miss your tea is rea—”

I swung around swiftly and slapped the maid that’d interrupted my thoughts so hard that she’d fallen to the floor with the saucer and tea cup she was holding. The shattering sound of the ceramics pissed me off even further and I kicked her on the floor.

“Get your filthy body off my damn floor and clean this off!” I hissed angrily and kicked her again, much harder this time around.

Much to my annoyance she remained on the floor and glared at me like she was anything more than a worthless piece of property with blood flowing through her veins.
