127: Fraternizing With The Enemy

Cora’s POV

My eyes fluttered open to the most beautiful sight.

A man’s hard bare back was turned to me and golden rays of sun rested on it as he flexed his muscles while doing something I didn't care to know, all I wanted to focus on was the movement of his strong gorgeous arms as he moved.

Then he began humming a nursery rhyme I knew on the back of my hand, swaying gently as the notes floated through the air and eased the slight headache I had woken up with, a headache that the sight of him had made up for the instant I spotted him.

“Ah, you’re awake” He turned around and I suddenly felt ashamed for ogling him when I realized it was Kai.

But that mean I’d deny how utterly tempting his chest muscles looked as they faced me now. And just for a second it saddened me that I’d have to kill such a beautiful man eventually.

No, a beautiful monster.

That wasn't important though, I just needed to leave Kai and go elsewhere, being around him confused me so damn much.
