34: A Plan to ruin her

Cora’s POV

“Bump into one more time and you’ll regret it” I glared at the maid who’d purposely hit me with her shoulder as I was cleaning the hallways.

“You’re just a maid like the rest of us here, stop acting like a spoilt brat” The maid who would soon be six feet under spoke back at me.

I didn't need to think, I just landed a heavy slap across her godforsaken cheek.

“Take that shitty attitude to the stinking gutter you rolled out of, because you'll never meet another spoilt brat with guts like me” I went back to pick my mop that I’d dropped to hit her.

“You hit me? What the fuck is your problem?!” She held her cheek gingerly and yelled at me with tear filled eyes, but they didn't drop.

“Oh, I have a problem? but when you bumped into me like a blind idiot without apologizing you didn't have any?” I snorted a laugh while she got visibly annoyed and red with fury.

“You do know it's against the palace regulations to hit a maid if you're also a mere worker?” She inched towards me a bit.
