Kai’s POV

“You’re done here already?” Surprise was evident in my features as I watched Levi pull his shirt over his head barely twenty minutes into our workout.

“Yeah, I have some work to sort and I can barely focus on anything else right now” He slung his towel around his neck as he responded.

“Paperwork is just as important as physical training?” I asked with an incredulous expression and he stood rooted in a spot starting back at me.

“I have to approve the weaponry for our next conquest” I noticed that he didn't answer my question directly but I nodded at him.

“Go ahead then” I waved him off and he started to make his way toward the door.

“I expect you to be back here to train before sun down, understood?” I said in between jagged breaths as I lifted a weight.

“Yes sir” he called out right before he bowed respectfully and shut the door behind him.
