94: Don’t Touch What's Mine

Kai’s POV

My back was pressed against my throne as Levi read out the order of the day and explained the crust of why I’d gathered the elders for a meeting.

The guilty parties looked taken aback that I’d found out about their indiscretions, but what they didn't know was that Leila— the only member of the royal court that was frowned upon when she attended meetings because she was a woman— was the best mole I had and nothing devious ever passed under her nose without her catching whiff of it and reporting back to me.
