MANNY

“Where are you going?” Josie questioned as she snuck into Manny's room.

Manny turned her head suddenly to Josie’s direction—luckily, it didn't snap.

“Work."

“Work? As in the fashion company work or you are going to the kitchen to make breakfast work but you just decided to wear something fancy.”

“The first one.” Manny replied without looking at her.

“Manny…” Josie called in a warning tone. Manny could see the look of disapproval on her face through the mirror but she was going anyway.

She couldn't stay idle at home all day.

“Look, I'm going okay. Not all of us are cut out to be housewives.” Manny shot and Josie feigned an angry expression.

Since she got married to Tristan, she decided she didn't want to work anymore, and she quit her job. She saw in movies the billionaire's wives becoming housewives and it turned out great for them, why should it be any different for her?

“I am a proud housewife. Besides, you've been staying at home is what you've done for the past one month.”
