Chapter Twenty Eight

So, this is it. Her words still cut deeper than a knife. They still seep through my heart, stinging it.

"You have never changed, have you? Still a low class whore, a self-centered bitch trying so hard to win my son's heart. Wake up, little missy. You can't do it successfully. You will never have him. I won't let it happen." She stepped twice near me, I was already out of Lorcan's table, facing her with all my dignity.

But it was so hard... to pretend, not to be affected by her choices of words.

"I don't want to disrespect you, Mrs. Helena so, please. I beg to disagree with all your accusations, throwing names at me, they were never true." I stood for myself, meeting her eyes full of judgements and dislikes.

"Oh wow, look at the guts you've got," she exasperatedly put her palm on her chest. "Stop this saint facade of yours, will you? You can't fool everybody here, slut!"
