"Are you serious, Lorcan?"

As I asked, i was searching for some jokes on his face but there were none. He looked all serious, and i remembered he's not fond of jokes. Not really.

"Yeah. It's a kind offer from me, isn't it?" His hands held both sides of my waist and squeezed it a bit.

"Where's your current head architect here anyway? Why are you replacing him all of a sudden?" Because it doesn't make sense to me.

I remained unaffected though, even so deep inside i find it irritating as well. Like hell, what's the name of that woman so that i can talk to her in private like what she wants to and tell her to back off? Gosh.
