Chapter Twenty

Mr. Laxus Amadeus already left but his words continued flashing in my mind like camera clicks.

I began overthinking things the moment i laid down my body on the bed.

Lorcan lied to me. Regina isn't just a family friend but an ex-lover and they are actually planning a marriage for the two! Are Saunders that desperate enough to get back to the influence of Amadeuses? Or it's the other way around...

I can already imagine my parents' devastated looks after getting such news. Knowing them, they are so eager to push me again into Lorcan's life but i was the only one who kept on refusing. Because i have my pride, and it's the only thing that's left in me.

Gripping the sheets, my inhales turned sharp. My eyes were teary while thinking about Lorcan with Regina Saunders. Fuck them both then! Fuck him for being such a liar asshole and fuck her for being so... so lucky enough.

"I'm getting you back, by hook or by crook." Those words of him echoed in my ears which made me chuckle sarcastically.
