Chapter 48: Lyra's Plan

In a prison in Thailand.

Ethan's heart raced as he felt the rough ropes dig into his wrists, binding him to the cold, hard concrete wall of his cell. He could hear the jeers and taunts of his fellow inmates as they closed in around him, their fists clenched and ready to strike. He knew he deserved this, after all, he had hurt Luna,a girl who had nothing to do with any of this and was made to suffer by Ethan and his family.

As the first punch landed, Ethan's mind was flooded with memories of Luna. He remembered the way her laughter used to fill the air, the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy, and the way she had looked at him with such love and trust.

Ethan remembers how he persuaded Luna to enter into a contract marriage with him and Ethan instead used the contract to torture Luna.
