Scarlett had called her child a him while trying to warn Mandy about insulting her unborn baby. She had refused to listen to that small voice in her heart that has been screaming about wanting a baby boy. She thought that the baby would look so much like Liam if it turned out to be a boy. She did not want to live, seeing Liam's face for the rest of her life, but she knew there was no running away from it.

The baby, whether boy or girl, would surely look like Liam or, if the baby looked like her, would have some or most of Liam's attributes. And most importantly, she was sure that her baby would be a werewolf.

She knew that it would be better if she got a female baby because the male child would be an alpha wolf, and it would cause problems for her. He would have the dominant attitude of an alpha and would need his own pack. He might even start demanding to know his father before he gets too old. A female child would be easy to tame, but deep down, she yearns for a male child.
