Chapter 24 Return the favour

Jessica sat at the table next to Mark. She ate her lasagne quietly occasionally looking up at the clients across her. She could feel her the staring daggers into her. She shuffled slightly on her seat. Mark placed his hand on her thigh, giving her reassurance. She looked at him and smiled.

Mark signed and closed the deal. He had Jessica to thank for this. She really pulled through for the firm. He knew he did not make a wrong decision when he chose her to be his personal assistant. The new Jessica Brown was full of surprises.

He wanted to celebrate. A satisfied Mr and Mrs Pie now bid farewell to Mark and Jessica, leaving them to enjoy a glass of wine.
