A Sire (Wyatt POV)

“I’ve decided to give Tobias and his mate another chance,” Parker stated plainly. I watched Kiera lean into his side, squeezing him gently. I have a feeling that she was the one who convinced him to forgive and forget.

“I will have my warriors move them to a room in the packhouse,” Kai nodded before his eyes clouded, signaling he was receiving a link.

I watched him closely, his eyebrows furrowing and then going wide. That can’t be a good sign.

“The warriors have requested our presence at the border,” Kai's voice held an edge to it as he swallowed hard. Not much rattles him, but I could see it in his eyes that whatever was waiting at the border was not going to be good.

Parker turned to Kiera, but she waved him off, “I will just head home. I'll see you there soon,” she smiled. He leaned down, placing one hand on her cheek, before pulling her in for a gentle kiss. It was the first time I’d seen him initiate any sort of intimacy.
