Lara's heart skipped. What was going on outside? What about the guards? Suddenly the carriage was yanked open. Cassandra quickly drew her claws, ready to attack. It was him. The assassin. Lara's heart leaped. He had come to kill her. Cassandra growled and pushed him away from the door. He growled back and they start fighting. Lara was too scared to move. She didn't expect the assassin to be able to defeat the guards outside. They were in tens. How was he able to kill all of them? Cassandra fought, ready to lay her life to protect Lara. She scratched and attacked him. The assassin was ruthless. His attack was swift and deadly. In minutes, he had her coughing out blood. She didn't stop. Cassandra turned around and glanced at Lara. Lara fluttered her eyes open weakly. She felt tired and worn out. It was strange. She wasn't in her room. The room didn't look familiar. Her breath caught, thinking she had been caught by the assassin. She stood up immediately to move. "Wait!" a deep and worried voice yells out. She turned towards the sound of the voice and gasped. It was Brad and he wasn't fully dressed. "You're finally awake," he said smiling. She frowned. He walked up to her, with water still dripping from his body and hair.
