“Mia, come back!” my mom’s voice rang out in the hallway as I ran out of the room, my eyes filled with tears.

“It can't be,” I kept muttering as I was running.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I blindly ran through the hallways, colliding with patients, doctors, and nurses.

I didn't even care that Leo could be there or he could harm my mother – she just admitted that she wasn't, so what should I call her?

‘You should have given her time to explain herself,’ Lynn whispered in my ears.

‘Shut up!’ I snapped at the voice in my mind.

Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision as I ran toward the small garden at the back of the hospital.

If what my mom has just admitted to was correct then Javier and his brother were right and my entire existence has been a lie. I couldn't even begin to imagine where I would go from here.
