CLAIRE's POV

Luis had successfully sent a letter to Dominik, and we both hoped that it would reach him fast enough. We exited the small village, and began to make our way to my mother's clan, the witches clan.

That place was my safe haven, and the only place we could go right now. We trudged down the road as the sun was slowly sinking down into the ground. All the while I walked beside Luis, my mind was lost in my thoughts. I could not get the strange woman I interacted with earlier, out of my head.

She was quite eccentric and her words did not exactly make any sense to me. I recalled the card she had held up to my face and the image drawn on it. The woman that was engulfed in a cloud of black smoke, and the smoke seemed to consume her whole being. It was an eerie drawing, but I could not phantom how it related to me. The weird woman talked about my emotions.
