Chapter 89

CARLOS's POV

We ran through the thick bushes. The small shrubs grazed our skin as we moved through them, but it did not bother me in the least. I glanced to my side and caught a glimpse of Cora.

She was so focused and I could see a glint of anticipation in her eyes. Even I was brimming with excitement. As we ran, the faint sounds of swords clanging and cries of pain, notified us that our destination was near.

A battle scene came into my view and I quickly ducked behind a tree to conceal my presence. Cora was right beside me, her eyes fixed on the battle field and her expression was transfixed.

I followed her eyes and they fell on the scene. Dominik was wrapped in the middle of a considerable number of men, trying to worm his way through. Although, he was doing a great job at protecting himself, I felt utterly satisfied at the frustrated look his face held.
