The next morning, I snuck out of the house before Damon could even wake up when he usually woke up before me. When he did wake up and found me missing, he called and I told him I went to pick up something from my house and would see him after school.

It was a good thing I didn’t have his classes today, which meant I wouldn’t have to sit next to Roman in any class. Roman was an asshole, but it was my fault for being attracted to my professor and being careless about our relationship.

As soon as I finished my last class, I got two texts from two different men. I was very wary to check, but I did anyway.

[Damon: I’m at the parking lot, waiting]

[Roman: tonight by 7 pm. I’ll pick you up.]

I clenched my fingers. Pick me up? With a sigh, I replied.

[Me: to?]

[Roman: Let's go on a date, then we can talk about how to move forward from there.]

I took several deep breaths. It was just one date. One date wouldn’t harm me. I would try to plead with him not to make any drast
