ALDERS POVAs I observed her from the window, I could see the determination in her eyes. This was a totally new side iof her that was seeing. The Cassandra I knew before didn't know how to manipulate this amount of magic and this, caused me to see her in a new light. It caused me to see her differently than I used to. I cherished the fact that she was growing gradually and daily. With my hand folded at my back, every movement of her hands, every incantation she spoke, was with precision and focus. It was clear that she had dedicated countless hours to mastering the art of magic manipulation. The progress was obvious and I couldn't be any more proud. These days, her nights were spent in deep contemplation, exploring the vast possibilities that magic held. She would immerse herself in books, studying ancient spells and rituals, seeking to understand the fundamental principles behind the magic she sought to control. Apparently, she didn't have time as much as she used to, for me, and eve
JULIUS' POVAnd while I was training Cassandra one night, I couldn't help but notice the shadow from the woods from the corner of my eyes. Then I turned to Cassandra, who obviously needed a good night rest...I noticed her dozing off and took that as an opportunity for me to leave and go after the shadow. As I quietly slipped away from Cassandra, my heart pounded with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Who or what could be lurking in the shadows of the woods? Curiosity propelled me forward as I followed the foot steps of the shadow. The moonlight filtered through the branches, casting eerie shadows on the forest floor as I ventured deeper into the dense foliage. Every rustle of leaves or snap of a twig sent shivers down my spine, but I pressed on, driven by a need to uncover the mystery behind this. The atmosphere was familiar, the sensation was also familiar. I knew the feeling of that magic from anywhere and I wanted to know who this person actually was. Could it be who I thought
CASSANDRA'S POV I squeezed the water out of the soaked cloth and placed it on El's head, I couldn't help but wonder what had suddenly befallen her. Just hours ago, she seemed perfectly fine, and now she lay before me, pale and motionless, in need of urgent treatment. The medical practitioner was yet to arrive, and the fear for her health weighed heavily on my heart. I mean, we were literally discussing about our life journey moments ago and had even been laughing at so many silly things that we both did while we where younger. I just decided to go out for a while to check up on some things and when I came back, she was laying down, completely unconscious. I knew how high my heart jumped when I noticed I sudden fatigue. I was shocked and worried out of my mind, and that made me rush towards her to check if she's okay. Fortunately, she was breathing, but then again, I had to check her temperature and saw how heated up she was. It caused me to be even more worried than I used to be.El
CASSANDRA'S POV "I felt it too." I heard Julius say as she walked in. "I knew Kathrine was somewhere here, lurking behind the bushes. And I also felt energy leave me." She said as she looked at me, then she looked at El. "I believe she's fine now." She said and I nodded. But then, I couldn't understand the fact that she had this unique scent. It was quite unusual, like the scent of a man or something. "Julius." I called and she glanced at me. "Your scent is different." I said and she cocked a brow. "I see." "Care to explain?" "Sabastian has returned." She stated and my eyes widened. So they did have something intimate to do with each other. As I watched Sabastian step into the room, a wave of surprise washed over me. I couldn't help but notice the undeniable intimacy between him and Julius. Their eyes met, and a knowing smile played at the corners of their lips. It was evident that they shared a deep connection—a connection that went beyond mere friendship. I couldn't help bu
CASSANDRA'S POV Julius looked at me with a mixture of surprise and concern. She understood the power and responsibility that came with writing, and she knew the toll it could take on one's mind and soul. But my determination was unwavering. I wanted to unlock the creativity within me, I wanted to know how to handle things...I wanted to know how to predict things through writing. I had to learn it, to delve into the realm of storytelling and discover the magic that lay hidden in the depths of words. To also discover myself and bring the me that is laying dormant out. "Very well," With a sigh, Julius nodded, recognizing the fire that burned within me, her voice filled with both caution and encouragement. "But remember, writing is not merely stringing words together. It is a journey of self-discovery, of exploring the depths of your imagination, and expressing your unique voice. It comes with a huge cost, sacrifice that you would have no choice but to give. Are you sure you want to do
CASSANDRA'S POV Watching the soul fall down to the ground before my eyes, I felt so weak, so drained...I moved to touch it, but I knew that there was no bringing it back to life. I messed up, and I knew it. I was trying to be perfect. My writing skills were back from centuries ago, but I need to balance my emotions so I wouldn't lose another soul. I felt an ethereal tug from a realm that was not here and realized it was Julius calling for me. I was long gone into this realm but I knew I had to go back. Even though, the weight of my mistakes and failures bore down on me, leaving me feeling weak and drained. The truth was, I had been trying too hard to be perfect. I had been so consumed by my own self-imposed expectations that I lost sight of what truly mattered - the rawness and authenticity of my words. I was momentarily lost in the allure of this mysterious realm, tempted to escape the mess I had made. But deep down, I knew that I couldn't abandon my responsibilities or run away
CASSANDRA'S POV A ray of sun made it way through the slight split of the red curtain. I squirmed, inhaling the cool temperature of the air, my nose catching the aroma that hung in the atmosphere. I was caught, sitting up almost immediately, looking around my bed, trying to understand what was going on. I turned my head towards the direction of my desk and noticed the work I'd written was still there but then...I stepped down from the bed and went to check it, to see that the letters there were missing. I furrowed my brows, trying to affirm what I just witnessed. There were other papers beneath it and I had to just move the paper on too away to see the one underneath, so I could know whether I'd placed the one with words under. But no...I bent so I could look beneath the table. Confusion creased my brows when I saw no paper had dropped to the floor, causing bewilderment to overwhelm me. I heard my stomach let out an eager rumble, craving the source of this delightful aroma in the air.
JULIUS' POV I watched as Cassandra played and joked with the others and smiled to myself. I knew I was fading, but the time I would leave was when the necklace returned to its rightful owner. To identical persons, the one from the past and the future couldn't live in the present together. One of them had to die for the other to live. And in this case, I had to live, because the things of the past are past. I had to become an atmosphere that Casssandra could thrive in, for Cassandra to fully live her life, one of us had to fade away. I was her and she was me...she had to become who she was fully, so yeah, I had to give myself away. It was a sacrifice that I was willing to make, because I understood that clinging to the past would only hinder her growth. As I watched Cassandra play and interact with others, I couldn't help but feel a bittersweet mix of emotions. I knew deep down that my time in this existence was coming to an end, but I also understood that it was necessary for Cassan
