Cassie's POV

I find it funny how Gina and Amelia found it funny that I wanted to drink the poison. It was to be expected because truthfully I don't back down from a fight and Georgiana was too much of a fish fry to be a bother. I followed the ladies to Gina's room and playfully argued for cupcakes.

This was the calm before the peace, I knew it. A knock sounded on the door and I knew who it was before they peaked in. I watched as Alder flashed his signature charm smile to Amelia and Gina.

"Hello Ladies" he says and I see Gina roll her eyes.

"Yeah yeah , we know take her away." Gina mumbles and I laugh.

"At least let him say hi first" Amelia says to her friend and I watch Alder falter over his words.

"Yes, I'm here to borrow my mate but still. I'd like to say hi" he says efficiently repeating everything that they said.

"It's been a while Amelia" he says to her and I watch as gratitude fills his eyes.

"I was never able to say thank you for what you did " he says and she waves it off.
