103: They Have Been Found

"What happened? Have they finally found the kids?" Yvonne asked, trying to fix her ear on the phone so she could hear what the caller was saying.

I gave her a dreadful glare, and she quickly comported herself, knowing that we still have a pending issue that is yet to be resolved.

I turned my gaze away from her and returned to the phone to continue the call with the chief detective, Inspector Williams.

"Uhm, I'm sorry, Mr. Williams. Something distracted me from the call." I apologized.

"No problem, Alpha Conan," he replied.

"So what about the kids? Are they still alive? What did she say was her mission?" I asked incessantly, and even Mr. Williams found it difficult to answer immediately.

He dragged in a long breath and cleared his throat. "Alpha Conan. This issue is really more serious than we expected," he replied.
