BBUUGGHHH!

There was a loud crash of someone's fist. The bald man fell hard to the ground, whimpering in pain.

"My nose is bleeding!" he screamed as he saw thick red liquid oozing from both nostrils.

"Get that bastard!" the order in the baritone voice was clear and decisive.

Dominik looked down to his right. Adine was curled up motionless. Quick as a flash, he lowered his head and rolled over the woman's slender, fragile body.

The handsome man looked back at the shadowy little face until his heart sank. Not wanting to linger and get lost in that face, Dominik immediately lifted Adine's body.

"Sir, what do we do with this man?" Willy asked Dominik.

"Beat him up! Like he did with this woman!" Dominik ordered.

"Mercy, sir, don't do that. I'm sorry," the man said as he knelt with his palms together.

Dominik looked at the man in disgust. The expression on his face was cold.

"Willy! Find out the identity of this man!" Dominik ordered. "If you find out where he works, I want him fired tomorrow!"

"Yes, sir," Willy said as he searched the man.

"Sir, you can go home with the woman now," Richie told Dominik. "We will take care of everything smoothly, Mr. Jefry and your lawyer will take care of it right away."

"Good!" Dominik smiled with satisfaction. "But remember, don't let the man die!"

Richie nodded politely. He already understood what had to be done.

Then Dominik left the room carrying Adine in his arms. Meanwhile, Willy and Richie still struggle to teach the bald man a lesson for his deviant behaviour.

Dominik carried Adine, who had fainted, into the car and sat her down on the seat next to him. It was bitter, Dominik felt.

The handsome man saw that Adine's shoulders and upper back were full of bruises and even bleeding from the bald man's leather belt.

"You'll be fine," Dominik muttered as he started the car.

The dark blue Roll Royce Wraith drove through the night capital at 70 km/h. Dominik had nothing on his mind but Adine's current condition.

While driving, he turned on his cell phone and called his physician to visit his penthouse immediately.

After ending the call to his physician, he looked back at Adine beside him. The shadowy face still adorned the unconscious woman's face.

A few moments later, the car had arrived in the basement of the penthouse. Dominik entered through the back door to get to the elevator faster.

He didn't care about the stares of the other residents or visitors who saw him then.

"How's the wife, Doc?" Dominik, leaning against the door, watched everything the doctor did to Adine.

"I've given her anti-inflammatories and painkillers," the middle-aged, bespectacled doctor replied as he put his tools into his bag.

"I'll write a prescription for the ointment and medicine this lady should take," the doctor added as he wrote the prescription.

"The woman fainted, do you think there are no serious injuries on her body?" asked Dominik in a worried tone.

"You don't have to worry, sir. This lady fainted due to shock and her body is weak from not eating." The doctor's answer made Dominik's eyebrows knit together.

"Not eating?" muttered Dominik as he rubbed his face roughly.

"Sir, if no further assistance is required, I can retire," the doctor said as he handed Dominik a prescription paper.

Dominik nodded as he took the prescription paper. He then escorted the doctor to the door.

Outside the door, Richie and Willy were already standing at attention. They had neatly handled the bald man's business and Amel's, whom Dominik was still compensating.

"You go to the pharmacy and find the medicine the doctor prescribed!" Dominik ordered Willy. "If one of the medicines is missing, find a better one!" Dominik ordered.

"Yes, sir," Willy replied.

Dominik came back into the room. He climbed onto the same bed as Adine. He lay down halfway beside Adine.

Dominik's strong fingers began to caress the beautiful face with its eyes closed.

"Why are you so adorable when you faint," Dominik murmured.

He laughed at himself; being gentle with a woman was unusual, even if it was his ex-girlfriend.

Adine's existence gave him a different aura. Dominik was a free spirit who didn't like to be tied down. He lived only to expand his business.

With his current power, he could enjoy any woman's body.

"Why does your body smell so different?" Dominik murmured again as he kissed Adine's slender, yellow-skinned shoulder. "You know, the scent of your body seems to make me drunk."

It had been almost an hour since Willy had gone to the pharmacy. Finally, he returned with the medicine as written on a prescription paper.

"Sorry, sir, I had to wait in line, that's why it took a while," Willy said as he handed over a plastic bag containing medicine and ointment.

"Thank you," Dominik said as he scooped up the contents of the small plastic bag.

After Willy left, Dominik immediately applied the ointment to Adine's shoulder and upper back wounds.

When everything was done, Dominik lay down on the same bed as Adine. Right next to her body. They fell asleep together in the embrace of the night.

The next day.

The beautiful eyelids with long lashes began to open slowly. The high ceiling with its Mediterranean carvings was immediately before her eyes.

Adine blinked, then turned her head to the side at the sound of someone breathing softly. The handsome face of Dominik, who was still asleep, was instantly revealed.

The woman gasped but wanted to stare at the man's face for a long time. Adine felt her body; a shirt was attached to it. She was sure it wasn't hers.

She wanted to get out of bed, but her body felt sick and weak. A small moan escaped her mouth.

"Lie back down." Dominik's voice made Adine stop. The shaking of the mattress caused by Adine's movement woke Dominik.

Adine froze; she feared Dominik would be rude like last night. But she looked at Dominik confusedly because she could be with this man.

"Where am I?" asked Adine quietly.

Dominik did not answer Adine's question right away. He opened his eyes, got up from the bed and stood out.

"You're safe, you're with me," Dominik replied, reaching for his cell phone. It looked like he wanted to call someone.

"But last night?" asked Adine angrily.

Before Dominik could answer, the doorbell rang loudly. Dominik hurried to the door while Adine stared at the man's back.

"Eat," Dominik said a few minutes later as he placed a box of food and a glass of water on the bedside table. Adine only looked at him for a moment.

She shifted her body slightly to reach the food in the box. It seemed she couldn't hold back the worms in her stomach that rebelled.

Chicken gruel with appetizing toppings as he opened the box. The smell of the chicken gruel made him greedy.

He quickly shovelled a spoonful of porridge into his mouth. No matter the heat that stung the skin of his lips.

"AARRGGHHHHH!" Adine suddenly screamed, unaware of what she saw.
