Keith’s POV
“You are quite something, aren’t you? Keith.” Houston taunted as I walked into the hall. “You even dared to barge into my council meeting; that too alone.” His eyes lit up on seeing Veronika. “No, wait, you are not alone. Who is this beauty?”
Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he continued, “If you are here to beg me for mercy, I might consider giving you a small position in my pack.” Tossing his head in a proud gesture, he smirked, his lustful gaze raking over Veronika. “After all, you have brought a generous gift for me.”
