CHAPTER 69: OMEGA FACTORY

Meredith’s POV

The beeping of the heart monitor is the only sound that manages to infiltrate my ears. I could feel people moving around me, but I could not quite make out who they were. I couldn’t even keep my eyes open for too long.

Never in my life have my eyelids felt so heavy. And I feel incredibly tired, too. All I want to do is have a nice long nap, but then didn’t I just wake up? My body screams for sleep, but my mind is fighting against it. It is telling me to get up and run, but I can’t.

The fatigue is one thing, but I am actually unable to move any of my limbs right now.

Whenever I managed to open my eyes, even if it was for just a second, I would see a bright white light hovering above me. Is this heaven? Am I dead?

I always thought I would feel a lot lighter when I was dead. I always thought that I would be free and able to move around, but that isn’t the case right now.

The next time my eyes open and shut, there is a figure standing above me. I believe it is a woman. A
