Dani POV

My body ached. Everywhere. And as i stared at the door my nerves were getting the best of me to rush to the doors and barge into Ava’s room.

She’ll be fine, they said.

Just wait a couple of hours and she’ll be stable.

“Dani, you should go home.” i turned to my mother who was currently knitting in one of the seat beside me.

“What? No, i can’t leave Ava here, i want to be here when seh wakes us.” I argued and i felt strong hands squeeze my knees gently. Arthur.

“I know you’ll wnat to be by her side when she wakes up but you’re tired and you need to feel comfortable,” my mother stated pointing at my dress. It was currently midnight and if it was anything, i wanted to be out of the dress, just that i couldnt leave, not yet, not now.

“No, i’m not leaving.”

“Danielle, i mean it. The girl will want to see her mother in the right state of mind, she shouldn’t be worried about you again, at least give her a bit of closure that you’re fine.”
