I once again looked up at the ceiling hoping some unseen deity would be watching. Clearly luck was not on my side. This is only day two of this long weekend and I already want to run out the back fucking door screaming. I am not sure what I was thinking when I decided that picking up two extra days was a good idea. Tarryn and Laveena had also picked up these last two days as well. We had a couple of our servers out with the flu. One of our cooks was also ours, that is why I was here. There was no one else to cover and since I am the boss it was my responsibility to find coverage and since I was unable to find coverage, I had no choice but to work.

Daniel and Savannah had woken up early this morning. Aerian was still asleep from working last night so we had them shower, eat and relax most of the day. Niven was able to find some coverage so that Aerain could have tonight off. She was exhausted from working these last three nights. I had noticed that the parking lot was full these last three nights. I was glad to see the place full, but I knew my dark princess needed a day off. Niven reminded me that we had decided to make these two nights by reservation only so they should not be as busy. The chef that was supposed to work the previous two nights had gotten sick, was back and was more than happy to take these two nights. I had let my dark princess sleep, but I had come up to check on her a couple of times. This was one of those times. I began to freak out a little when I did not find her in our bed, but when I heard music coming from the bathroom, I knew she must be bathing.

Six Year LaterI huffed out a breath as another one of our servers came hurrying through the door. It was a particularly busy night here at the restaurant tonight. Once again, I could not find her. Her scent was the strongest near the edge of the neighborhoodclosest to the pond where many of us fished at. However, I could never find her exact location. I knew she had to live somewhere around there, but she was hiding from me. Why I was not sure, but I knew there was a reason. Her scent was a mix of cedarwood, amber, lilies and an ocean breeze. It confused and excited my wolf, Locke, and I. It was a strange but alluring mix of light and dark. Locke had finally been able to track the scent to a house. We had sniffed around the front of the house, but we had to be extremely careful. We had noticed that every fucking plant there was poisonous to us and every other supernatural species. The other strange thing about her scent was that we could not distinguish the species of supernatural she was. I had even spoken with my father and described her scent to him, but he was stumped as I was.

Fuck, my head hurt! I opened my eyes and found that I was in a dark room. I could hear other people, but I could not make out who or where they were. I sat up trying to get my barring's.“Fuck.!” I growled.When I tried to stand up, I banged my head on an extremely firm surface. I sat back down as I rubbed my head. I lost my fucking shit when I saw her locked in the tiny ass cage. I was already pissed knowing they had the women locked in cages like fucking animals but seeing her made me and Locke snap. I ripped the lock off her damn cage. I was too big to squeeze through the doorway to get her. One of the warriors was able to contort his body enough to reach her. I let out a growl when he put his hands on, but I took a breath and reminded myself that he was helping to get her out of that damn cage. We were all sitting in my office. We had gotten back a half hour ago. Mother made all of us go shower since according to her we were dirty and smelly.
