Halfway to the hotel, Dolly asked. “Oh my God, Chesa! I did give you my luggage, right?

“Relax, I’ve got it.” Chesa answered, hands cupped under her chin seemingly deep in thought.

" Thank God!" Dolly replied

Onwards, the boat rode the gentle waves of the river, eventually exiting it through a tributary and beaching on the shore of an islet.

By then the weather had gotten rather gloomy, as the skies became overcast and the waves broke on the riverbank.

" What did that old man tell you?" Dolly asked as they got out of the boat with their luggage.

" It's nothing," Chesa shrugged.

They hurried through the concrete path surrounded by a lush garden to the main hotel complex.

Approaching the receptionist, they were asked to show their booking confirmations.

" We bought it online. But I'm not with my phone here." Chesa explained.

" That's not a problem," the receptionist replied, with a smile.
