Chapter Six

  I could not stop thinking about that necklace and how this girl has come to get it. She wore it as if her life depended on it. I did not see her the next morning and nobody seemed to want to explain her whereabouts to me which was actually really irritating me. I guessed that the alpha had something to do with her sudden disappearance and it did not make me feel any better at all. It was as if they were all hiding some big secret from me and I was going to find out what it was. 

  " Would you like some breakfast dear Luna?" The beta came strolling across the hall and linked my arm as if trying to lead me away from the corridor that led to yet another row of rooms. I wondered if they were hiding her in there. 

  "Where is that girl. Gina?" I demanded to know pulling myself away from the beta. He looked shocked at my outburst. 

  "Luna please do not worry yourself with a worthless omega slave. The alpha  has had to pop out to run a few errands but he has informed me that he will be back in a moment and he will explain everything. Please let's go." 

  My brows furrowed as I searched his face curiously. He didn’t give anything away. 

  I turned my nose up and leant against the wall with my arms crooked tightly over my chest. 

  He paused for a moment, taking in my childish act as if trying to work out his next step. 

  “You know Alpha Ben wouldn’t like you to disobey his rules.” His beta said causing me to snort with laughter. He frowned and a flash of annoyance washed over his face. I didn’t care. They were keeping something important from me and I was going to find out what in the moon goddess, it was. 

  “Well, it’s a good thing I’m not part of his pack. Only the alpha of my own pack can truly order me about.”

  The beta rubbed his forehead and sighed heavily. He knew I was right. I smirked because I knew I was getting on his last nerve now.  

  I felt bad for him having to be the brunt of my anger but it was tough luck.
