Chapter 28: Hide & Seek

“Ouch,” cried Emily. She was rubbing her hands.

“What’s wrong?” asked Joshua, he ran back to her.

“I fell and scrapped my hands.”

Joshua lifted her sleeves up and saw that she was indeed bleeding. Her skin was scrap and some of her skins were peeled back. He blew on her elbows to try to help ease her pain.

“Ouch,” said Emily.

“Stop moving,” said Joshua.

“But it hurts.”

“I know, that’s why I’m blowing on it.” Joshua leaned into her and blow on her hands again.

Emily looked at him and was admiring his handsome face. How close he was to her. She smiled and the pain in her hands was suddenly gone.

“Come on, let’s go. There’s a first aid kit in the cabin.”

Emily nodded.

Joshua stood up and helped her get up on her feet.

“Ow,” groaned Emily.

“What’s wrong?” asked Joshua.

Emily bent back down. Her knees were also scrapped and she was bleeding.

Joshua gasped. “Oh, your bleeding.”
