Chapter 48: Drunken State

As Beatrice exited the hut, she became anxious.

Something wasn’t sitting right with Beatrice. His words was bothering her. What does he mean leaning his head on her breasts. Did he do something to her last night. Did they do something together? She bit her fingernails. She started pacing in front of the hut trying to think.

Beatrice’s eyes widened. “Or what did he do with her last night,” she thought. With worries she rushed over to Jack.

“Let go Joshua,” said Emily. She loosened his grip and lifted his head to her.

Joshua smiled as he looked at her.

“You did that on purpose didn’t you?”

Joshua shrugged and acted innocent. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Honestly?” asked Emily, looking into his eyes.

Joshua smiled and gently shook his head, “I’m not sure what you’re asking.”

Emily gasped he was lying. She pushed him away from her.

Joshua slumped and fell next to her, hitting his head. Thump. He groaned, “Ouch. Ow, my head.”

Emily panicked as she didn’t think he w
