Chapter 23 Strange Predicament

Sophia ran up the wood-planked metal stairs and went into the first room she saw. It was a bedroom and she noticed a telephone on the nightstand. She quickly lifted the handset and dialed the number for Otis's office. With her eyes facing the door she mumbled, "answer, please." When she heard Otis say hello she said, "Tell Phil I'm at a penthouse in the city. I don't know which one and Anthony is going to use me to take down Randall!" Otis was silent on the other line and all Sophia heard was a click and then a dial tone. She glanced at the receiver and frowning hung up the phone. Hearing the bedroom door open she turned and watched Anthony walk inside. Wringing her hands trying hard to keep her cool she stared nervously at the large man.

"It was a food delivery so you're safe to come down and eat with me," he said firmly. Sophia nodded as she hadn't eaten for a while and was hungry.
