I left Jaxon standing in my bedroom as I raced down to meet the men carrying Chase, the panic causing my skin to burn and my blood to rush to my head.
“What happened?”
It was the familiar face of Grady who answered. “It was Seamus and Ronald’s men. They attacked headquarters. I don’t know what happened to Chase, he couldn’t even hold a sword. Chase made no move against them, but they attacked him anyway. He has a pretty bad wound on his back.”
“Jesus, these people do not know who they are messing with. Let’s get him up to his room and then you can go back and make sure no one else is gravely injured. I have protection here. Jax is visiting.”
