Chapter Twenty-Nine
“Are you ready?” Liam asked as I stared at myself in the mirror on the wall. Nothing cute had fit me anymore. Instead, I had to wear this. This casual, moo-moo type of dress that made me look completely figureless with the exception of the huge bulge that was my stomach.
“I’m about as ready as I’m going to get I guess.”
He crossed the room to me and said, “You look beautiful as always.”
“You have to say that. You married me.”
I was teasing, but at the same time I wasn’t. I felt hideous, but he was annoyed by my statement regardless.
“It would still be true, even if I had no choice but to say it.”
There was a small knock on the door prompting Liam to cross the room, pausing before he opened it.
“Who is it?”
The answering voice belonged to Chase. I caught myself rolling my eyes before Liam opened the door.
“Come on in.”
