Chapter 69: RUAN'S POV

It didn't take me long to arrive in the place where I would meet Rye. Tahimik sa paligid ng lugar at bihira ang dumadaan na sasakyan. After riding the plane, I drove my own car until here.

The small building used to be a café until the owner abandoned it after bankruptcy. Unfortunately, hindi namin 'yon naabutan na bukas. The owner must've forgotten about this place already. Halatang hindi na napupuntahan ng kahit sino.

The memories we had in this place are still vivid to me. Ito ang paborito naming tambayan sa tuwing umuuwi ako noon galing Espanya. We liked it here simply because of the silence— away from the chaotic sound of cars and deafening noises of crowd around the city. You could only hear the melodic chirping of birds flying around and the sound of insects hiding somewhere near and far.
