Archie knocked once before he strolled into his father’s office without waiting for a reply.

He stopped right in his tracks when he sighted his nephew, Alan sitting across his father’s table on the chair opposite him.

He came for a meeting with his father and not the brat.

Years ago, Archibald would never have imagined having a beef with his nephew but now it looked like it was.

“Archibald.” His father sported a small smile on seeing him as he gestured towards the seat next to Alan. “You came to work today, I was beginning to think you would ditch the idea,”

Archibald only gave a small smile in return before going over to sit in front of his father. “You don’t think you would get rid of me that easily. I’m here to stay.”

“Hm I remembered you said those exact words to me a decade ago.” His father gave him a smug smile. “Look where that got us.”

“I’m changed now, Dad.”
