Selling the House

Among the pile of discarded items, something caught Percival's eye. It looked like a decorative painting. He turned it over and was stunned. It was not a decoration at all but his and Eulalia's wedding photo.

He vaguely remembered this photo, but he had smashed it and told Eulalia to throw it away. How had it reappeared here, intact? Had she secretly framed it again and hidden it? And if she had kept it for four years, why was it now thrown in with the junk?

Percival couldn't describe his feelings. He had been denying Eulalia's change of heart towards him, but now, seeing this abandoned wedding photo, he had to admit that she had truly given up on her feelings for him.

He had always called Eulalia cheap, confidently thinking she would remain so forever. He never thought the day would come when she would stop loving him. It had caught him off guard.

He gripped the photo frame tightly, his knuckles turning white.
