Sarah’s POV

"No kidding!" I pushed him away from me, then removed my hand from his grasp.

I caught a glimpse of Ethan smiling, looking at me casually like he was playing a prank on a child. I don't know much about her, but I'm slowly getting to know her. He's not as cold as she looks, and she's not as stiff as he seems.

I let out my breath next to him. "We don't have time for jokes." Suddenly, I was the one who became rigid in this, just because I didn't want him to realize the strangeness I felt inside me every time he came close. "There are many things we need to do and think about seriously." at least for now, I didn't want to think about anything.

I'm so afraid that I'll misperceive her attitude, and it will make me act rashly. Right now, my relationship with him was an alliance with a common goal, so until that goal was achieved, I didn't want anything else to happen and disrupt our goal.
