“May I be the first to welcome Alpha Evangeline Dark to the table for the first time with her new title.” Alpha Lee shouted over the murmurs of the room as I moved to slide into my seat at the large round table that had been reassembled for the summit to continue.
At Lee’s words a soft round of applause filled the conference room, a few of the Alpha’s who had been on my side hooting and hollering a welcome. Laughing at their antics I waved my hands to quiet them down, laughing at the warm welcome I had not been expecting. “Thank you everyone, I am thrilled to join your ranks. Now, let’s get down to business, shall we?”
“Yes, of course.” Lee agreed, flashing me another triumphant smile before turning to face the rest of the leaders, clearing his throat before continuing. “I know we got distracted the last few days with other matters, but now we need to buckle down and bring this back around to a worldwide treaty being signed.”

I did not have any time to register what Sapphire had said before we were through the gate and speeding through the forest drive towards what I assumed would be the packs town and pack house. Waking up to the sunset coming over the horizon and a cup of hot, fresh coffee in my hand was an amazing feeling. I sat at the edge of the cliff overlooking the valley below and just breathed in the fresh air. The fog dancing and playing through the trees below made the world look almost like a fantasy realm.
