Of course, I knew which pack Lucius was talking about, but I was too scared to bring up more details.

I had never told him where exactly I came from, so I assumed it had to be Titus since we met in my old pack. But on top of that, I had the nagging feeling that Richard might have told more than I was willing to share.

Was it too much to ask to have some details of my past left unsaid?

That was pretty much where we left the conversation. Neither of us uttered a word as we left the bathroom and got in the bed. Lucius pulled me in his arms and muttered something I couldn’t understand.

As annoyed as I was, it took me no time to fall asleep. My issue was that I felt as if I hadn’t slept at all when he woke me up with gentle kisses he traced over my skin.

I tried to escape his hold and pull the blanket over my head, five more minutes was all I needed, but Lucius was dead set on waking me - one way or another.

And in this case, he chose the latter one. A yelp of surprise left
