150: Don’t Ever Leave Me

I failed, woefully.

I had one goal that night, to barge into Scarlett’s room and destroy the bond once and for all. I’d gone to great lengths for a solution to the growing bond between us because of one foolish impulsive decision of feeding on her.

And I knew what was at stake; losing Ashley, yet I’d still screwed things up.

The moment Scarlett’s fearful eyes met mine when she woke up, I already started to rethink my plan because of how shaken her distress made me. But I didn't move away because I remembered that I was doing it for Ashley.

However, I hesitated for a moment because my wolf was clawing at my insides when I produced my fangs and the fear in her eyes worsened. That hesitation gave her an opening to fight back and she sunk her fangs into my skin, completely disorienting me as she ran out.

Immediately, I dropped to my knees and bit down on my lower lip harshly to keep myself from groaning loudly in pain. I have a higher pain threshold than an alpha werewolf so her bit
