58: Love you forever

A whiff of lavender woke me, and when I looked down at the precious woman in my arms, I couldn’t help but smile broadly.

After a hectic day at the office and the bustle of the Moxie fundraiser, I decided that the best way for us both to get a good night’s rest would be to sleep in each other’s arms so we headed back to Ashley’s apartment after the event.

I hadn’t slept this well in forever, and it seemed the same could be said for Ashley.

Normally, she’d have sent me a good morning text at this time, but now she was sleeping soundly in my arms like she didn’t have a single care in the world.

Even asleep, she was a marvelous sight. Her ginger hair looked stunning scattered all around her, the sunlight peeking through the window made her freckled nose appear unbelievably adorable, her thick lashes framed her gorgeous eyes and her plump rosy lips enthralled me as she parted them while snoring lightly.

The more I stared, the more I realized the unbreakable hold she had on my heart.
