CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

It was 3pm already when Claire and Nate returned home from their picnic.

"Hello Claire!. Hello Nate!" Grace greeted them as she opened the door

"Hope you both had fun!?"

"Hello Grace" Claire replied, sounding exhausted.

"Hello aunty Grace" Nate also replied, sounding and looking dull too.!

Nate went straight to his room, before Grace could question him further.

"What happened to you two?" she asked turning to Claire

"What's wrong with Nate?"

"Long story..." Claire replied

She sighed and dropped hard into a couch.

Grace helped her return the basket of leftover snacks and some other things they had carried for their picnic, to the kitchen.

Then she came back to sit with Claire.

"Tell me about it..." She insisted

"Does it have anything to do with the man that came looking for you?" she asked.

Claire had told Grace about Jake. But not the werewolf part anyways. Just like she told Nate, she also told her that he left, before Nate was born.
