I am sitting on the bed later that night, thinking about what Alpha Jason told us in the meeting. I know that Helm talked to Kari because she found me a couple of hours ago. I don’t think I have ever seen her so happy. She was convinced that Helm would reject her like that alpha. I knew Helm would never do that. I have no idea what happened or if anything happened between Draven and Nalena. I know for a fact that Nalena didn’t have a date. She just wanted to get away from Draven.

“Hey princess, you want to share with us what is running through that pretty little mind of yours,” Nate says.

I jump a little when he says this and touches my leg. I didn’t even realize that either of them had come into the room or joined me on the bed. I can feel my cheeks heat up with embarrassment. I hear Devon laugh at this.
