CHAPTER 22

Lisa went straight for the bathrooms when she entered the company. The pain in her pelvis was excruciating, and something was pounding down there.

"Ugh, blood."

She was bleeding again. She hated the sight of blood. It usually meant she would need to go to the hospital. She pulled out a pad from her bag, which she had thankfully remembered to pack, and put it on.

"That should stem the flow for a while." She whispered to herself.

She looked a mess, and she knew it. There were dark circles under her eyes, from the lack of sleep the previous night. She also needed pain meds, she was fast running out.

All of this was Claire's fault. If she had just stayed in Creek Falls, none of this would have happened. Lisa slammed the water closet shut and sat on the lid. She was tired, both physically and mentally. She needed a break, and fast. When she rested, she would take the file back to her investigator and use it against Claire.
