CHAPTER 23

"Your father wants to see you, Axel."

Axel looked up from the file he was holding. He had finally managed to get a lot of pending work done, and he was confident he would catch up with work tomorrow. He shut the file and rose.

As he was leaving the office, he unhung his jacket from his office closet and grabbed a bottle of wine. When Donald raised a brow, he shrugged.

"Peace offering."

Donald chuckled. "Are you expecting war?"

"Think carefully," Axel stopped in front of Donald. "When was the last time the Chairman asked to see me without a reason?"

Donald rounded his lips. "Oh. You think this is about the appointment letters?" He froze, then facepalmed. "Lisa."

"As childish as it sounds, that is actually one of the most effective methods to get under my skin." He passed the wine to Donald. "And get under my skin she has."

Donald slapped his back. "It's Lisa. Get used to it."

Axel rolled his eyes. "She should get a job. It might keep her busy and stop her from doing crazy things."
