41. A Surprise

Destiny

I could see the entrance of the dungeon looming ahead of me. But my heart sank the closer I got as I realized that there were two guards standing firmly in front of the entrance.

'I can't go past the guards,' I whispered to Rosie as I eyed the entrance of the dungeon from a distance. My stomach twisted into knots at the thought.

'Find a way,' she said, her voice gentle yet firm. 'Just think about your mate down there, cold and alone.'

I shuddered. And completely pissed off, I thought to myself.

I had no idea how I was going to get past the guards without being noticed, but I had to try. Taking a deep breath, I slowly stepped forward, my mind racing with ideas.

'You are the Luna of this pack. What are you doing? Just march over there and demand to see him!' Rosie scolded me.

The idea of simply marching up to the guards filled me with a sense of dread, but I knew I had no other choice.

I took another few steps closer and then stopped as one of the guards spotted me and shouted
