Chapter Thirty

Axel PoV

“You coward”, Klaus charged at me with a fiery rage that I’d not seen in him for a long time ago since he killed his parent’s killers. Before he could reach me, the guards stopped him, holding him down while he desperately fought to be free of them.

“Fight me you coward,” he shrieked like a deranged person, “fight me, you fucking bastard.”

I wasn’t going to indulge in his madness but when I glanced at the pack, I saw their looks. It was a look I recognized very well. They all looked confused, and confusion often lead to doubts. Doubts lead to panic, and Werewolves make stupid decisions when they’re panicking; bad decisions like going against their Alpha, and I wasn’t going to wait around for that to happen. I was going to quell that confusion.

And the best way to do that was to clip the wing of the very same wolf they hoped to replace me with.

“Free him,” I ordered the guards, “let’s see how bad you want to be Alpha, boy.”
