Elf

Brooklyn's POV:

I had become more and more reluctant to go out. I hated seeing the sun, seeing those blooming flowers, or listening to the chirping of insects and birds. Moreover, I hated being surrounded by people pointing at me. I couldn't hear or see the outside world, and I had to practise staying in darkness.

At least it makes me feel at ease.

My family was so worried about me. They tried to unravel me, tempting me to watch my once-favourite scenery, and even brought in Emma for my company.

Unfortunately, Emma was a simple and honest tailor. Her clothes were first-class, but her reaction was also the most authentic.

The first time she saw me, surprise and disbelief flashed in her eyes. When talking to me, she just sat on the chair from the beginning to the end, without stepping forward or hugging me. Only when he left, she wiped her tears secretly and gave me blessings.
