Chapter Thirty-Six

"It's okay, Raj, you don't have to say anything. I understand " she said, cutting me off from telling her how I felt about her.

'What does she understand? Maybe she already knows about my feelings for her, but why is she reacting like this? I think it'd be best if I just allow her be for now. She's exhausted.'

My cell phone suddenly started vibrating in my pant pocket. I brought it out and checked the caller ID. I was angry when I saw Sam's name. Why the hell was she calling me? I rejected the call and returned my cell phone back into my pocket, but she didn't give up, she continued calling. I brought out the phone again and received.

"What do you want?" I asked, immediately I received the call.

"Raj, mum- I..it...it's mum," she cried.

Mum? What happened to her? I wanted to know, but was terrified of even asking. I hoped and prayed she was alright. I couldn't bear the thought of thinking something happened to her, because if it did, I knew I was to be blamed. I went away
